InterAksyon App for iOS (iPhone, iPod, iPad) is now Available for Download FREE!

TV5’s news arm, News5, is probably the most high-tech news team in the country. We’ve seen their anchors using high-end gadgets when delivering news casts. They are one of the firsts to tap technology as a tool in gathering and broadcasting news. And after launching their news site InterAksyon.com, followed by their partnership with the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) for the Metro Manila Traffic Navigator, now the team behind these victorious initiatives just recently launched another first in Philippine broadcast media – InterAksyon App for iOS.

InterAksyon App for iOS is now ready for download for all iPhone, iPod and iPad users for FREE! Carlo Ople, known blogger and TV5 Head of Multimedia, is the project owner of this app.

The InterAksyon App has four main features – News Reader, Metro Manila Traffic Navigator, Radyo5 92.3 News FM and the News5 Social Stream. The application is truly a great accomplishment not only for TV5 but also for the entire Philippine media. Hopefully, this will be the start for a community of socially-aware Filipinos. With this initiative, there’s no other reason to skip news. TV, radio and broadsheets may not be obsolete but opening another window for information exchange is something that people would somehow embrace especially using cool gadgets.

Congratulations to TV5 for a job well-done!

For those who haven’t downloaded the app yet, get it now for FREE!
