Smart, the country’s largest mobile service provider, will be hosting the biggest Clash of Clans tournament in the Philippines to date. With P2 million at stake, the tournament, dubbed as Philippine Clash 2015, is expected to gather all the best players of the said mobile game.
Clash of Clans is such a huge game in the Philippines for which Smart believes it’s high time to gather every single player for a friendly competition.
“It is just about time we put together the country’s biggest COC tournament and provide a venue for players and fans alike to showcase their skills in the spirit of friendly competition,” said Mellissa Limcaoco, head of Smart’s Innovation and Product Development Group.
Smart teamed up with Philippine eSports Organization, Inquirer eSports, SM Cyberzone, and the Philippine Clash of Clans Battleground to make this possible. The network also invited representatives from COC’s developer, Supercell, and YouTube personalities Chief Pat and Galadon.
The competition is open to Smart prepaid and postpaid subscribers as well as Smart Bro users. The tournament will start with its elimination legs to be held in key cities around the country: Lipa City in Batangas, Davao, Cebu, Metro Manila and Baguio City. The final clash will be in October.
As of this writing, full mechanics of the competition as well as other details of the event are yet to be unveiled. Smart’s page for Philippine Clash 2015 also has limited information as of this moment. We’ll update you as soon as we have received further details of this exciting tournament.
