Earlier this year, Facebook and Google teamed up to launch BountyCon, an invitation-only security conference in Singapore on March 30-31.

The two companies are gathering the top security researchers in the Asia-Pacific region who’ve been very instrumental in securing their platforms through their respective bug bounty programs.

Being an invitation-only event, Facebook and Google launched a Capture the Flag (CTF) competition that will run until February 20. A series of hidden flags were placed throughout both platforms. Interested participants may start reporting the flags to earn points. BountyCon will send invites to the highest scoring researchers to attend the event for free. The participants’ airfare and accommodations will be shouldered by BountyCon. Check this post to know more.

Facebook and Google also extend the invitation to 50 students who will also be provided with the same travel grants. Interested students may just sign up here for a chance to attend BountyCon. Deadline of submission is until February 19.
