Google rolled out a new and brighter version of it’s Android-based store – Google Play.

The newly redesigned Google Play now has a cleaner look compared to the dark toned theme it used to have since it was launched in March last year.

This is the second big update for Google Play, the last time was when it was renamed from Android Market.

According to Mashable, aside from aesthetics, Google Play also updated its payment process making it more convenient for users.

The new design of Google Play will be experienced first by Android 2.2 and above users starting today. The rest of the Android devices should be able to update in the coming weeks.
