In line with the upcoming First Regional Conference on Cyber Security, Holy Angel University (HAU) is organizing a capture the flag competition (CTF) for students to test their technical and analytical skills. HAU’s College of Information and Communication Technology (CICT) is in charge of the activity which is part of the conference themed as “Cyber Security Toward Resilient and Informed Societal Engagement (RISE)” happening on March 27, 2019.
All interested participants must be at least 18 years old and are bonafide students of an IT-related course in the school/university they are representing. Students must form a group of four with one of them acting as the team leader.
The CTF challenge is divided in two parts. The first phase will test the students’ knowledge in Linux, directory commands and NMAP. It will have several levels where participants need to unlock a password to proceed to the next level. The second part involves network forensics.
