The website of the city council of Naga in Camarines Sur has been compromised last Sunday, March 3, 2019. A hacker named H4D3Z is behind the attack.

H4D3Z is part of the group Pinoy Clownsec which, based on our records, also targeted the provincial council website of Occidental Mindoro last October 2018 through Gr3ySh4DoW.

The defacement is still up as of this writing. If we’ll consider the time when the security incident was first reported to us, this has been running more than 24 hours already. The IT personnel behind this website may not still be aware of the breach.

This is the first time that we have identified H4D3Z who might’ve gotten his name from the Greek God of the Underworld. His records in Zone-H is also limited. We’re not certain of his motivations yet for hacking this government website. For now, we’ll continue to monitor any other future security-related incidents that H4D3Z may do.

We’ll reach out to Naga City to inform them of this security incident.
