Sun Cellular lets you ‘NAME UR NUMBER’ for new prepaid subscribers

Sun Cellular introduced this week its newest prepaid offering – the ‘NAME UR NUMBER’ SIM.

Basically, Sun Cellular’s new SIM gives every new prepaid users a chance to choose what number they want their subscription to be. This is a first in Philippine mobile telecommunications history which, if proven successful, may become the basis of the prepaid system in the country.

We all know that Sun is the pioneering brand in unlimited calls and texts promotions which later on became a standard offering in all of our mobile service providers in the country. This new service may follow next if the subscribers demand for it.

The Sun Cellular’s ‘NAME UR NUMBER SIM’ works exactly the same as that of a regular SIM card only that it initially asks for your personalized number upon inserting it on your mobile phone. Customized numbers are limited to to the following prefixes: 09438-, 09439-, and 09428-.

Similar to the other prepaid SIMs of Sun, the ‘NAME UR NUMBER SIM’ comes with a free Call & Text Combo 50 which is inclusive of 200 texts to other network, 200 Sun-to-Sun texts and 70 minutes of Sun-to-Sun calls valid for 5 days. Currently, this prepaid service is being retailed at PhP59.
