Hootsuite just recently released it’s newest version – a cool new way to update your social networking sites in just one click.
Before, I was a Ping.fm fan. I connected all my social networking sites to them so that I can easily update them. I must credit Ping.fm with this fact that they have a long list of social networks connected to their server making every netizens update their statuses on these social networks easily. But considering the volume of updates that you sent it everyday, that would make your accounts on other social networks a spam. Imagine sending multiple number of statuses in a day on your Friendster – the former big social networking site here in the Philippines. That would just make the site, or your account, look like a spammer. On the other hand, Ping.fm’s wide range of connections to other social sites is a real advantage.
With Hootsuite, you can connect with your multiple Twitter and Facebook accounts, if you have any. But for social addicts and giants, this service is quite impressive. Though Hootsuite may have a limited connection options with other social sites, it’s capability to integrate two or more accounts on a single social networking site is a primary advantage.
I, for one, uses this Hootsuite advantage for my online accounts. I can choose whether to update my personal Twitter account or send my status directly to all my Twitter accounts and even on Facebook. This functionality is certainly valuable to online marketing practitioners and bloggers.
