President Noynoy Aquino aka PNoy ordered her sister Kris Aquino to take their family’s privacy an important issue making her decide to officially leave her Twitter account. PNoy may have been very strict on family issues being broadcast online, he’s very much eager to utilize the social networking sites for his own administration.
In a news report today, PNoy wants all of the government offices and departments to create Facebook and Twitter accounts to report updates and to reach the Filipinos directly. The report is still unofficial but this could be our President’s way to reach out to our countrymen.
What do you think of this step? Will this help the Aquino administration be open to the concerns of the Filipinos? Will this help the administration aid the problems of our country?

  1. That’s a cool idea. The youth are really into Facebook and Twitter. Although they might get flooded with useless rants but I still think it’s a good idea.

  2. at the onset, wala naman totally damaging na results yung unofficial directive n’ya. pero kung nauuna ang directive na ‘to kaysa sa appointments of various offices eh medyo sablay ‘yun. lumalabas kasi na medyo anal ang presidente when it comes to image-building and communication means. real hard work on the foundational issues should also accompany those efforts. to be particular, choosing a home away from establishments that need his time frequently, not excluding himself from the wang-wang directive (rendering him to be usually tardy) and slow appointments of his government’s leaders.
