SMART is set to offer iPhone 4S by the end of this year, according to reports released yesterday, November 9.

Breaking the exclusivity deal that Globe Telecom has been embracing for the past years with Apple, SMART and PLDT’s chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan confirmed in news reports that he’s been negotiating with Apple to launch iPhone 4S late this year.

Another Apple branded gadget, iPad, will be part of the deal bundled with SMART’s wireless broadband service – SmartBro.

According to reports, iPhone 4S will be initally offered to the network’s high-end postpaid subscribers (could it be the Infinity subscribers?).

Will this improve SMART’s number of subscribers in the upper class market? We’ll see.
