Local hackers continue to compromise Philippine-based websites especially those of the government. In the latest report sent to us, the website of the provincial council (sangguniang panlalawigan) of Occidental Mindoro has been defaced by a hacker named Gr3ySh4DoW. Based on the message he left in the domain, he is affiliated with multiple blackhat groups. Among those notable are Elite Cyber Security, FilTech Hackers Philippines, and Pinoy ClownSec.
This is the first time that we are writing a story about this certain Gr3ySh4DoW. However, this isn’t the first time that this website of Occidental Mindoro has been targetted. Another hacker who goes by the name KENT also defaced the very same website last year.
As of this writing, the website has been taken down.
We’ll try to reach out with the administrator of the affected website. Hopefully, they’ll be serious in ensuring the security of the website this time. As soon as we received a feedback, we’ll keep this article updated.
