Holy Angel University (HAU), the largest Catholic university in Central Luzon, will be holding the first regional conference on Cyber Security this coming March 27, 2019 at the Peter G. Nepomuceno (PGN) Auditorium. Themed with “Cyber Security towards Resilient and Informed Societal Engagement (RISE)”, the conference will showcase the research and creative works of researchers and scholars from different sectors of the university and partner institutions including graduate and undergraduate students and faculty. In line with the theme, HAU is also inviting researchers to submit their original papers under the following topics:

  • Identity and Access Management
  • Network Security
  • Risk Management Strategies
  • Information Technology Threats
  • Platform Security

  • Web Security
  • Wireless and Mobile Security

The research entry may be of two years recency but has not been published in any journal or publication. Initial submission of an extended research abstract is required which will be evaluated by the Evaluating Committee for appropriateness/acceptance for oral presentation. HAU is known to pioneer the post-graduate cybersecurity program in the country – the Professional Science Master’s (PSM) in Cybersecurity. Now on its third year, the program “aims to address the issue of cybersecurity, with it being identified as the foremost ICT and business challenges that organizations face today. It also plans to deal with the dearth of experts in the region.”
