Last year, I wasn’t able to get my list for the emerging influential bloggers but joined the listing in the year 2007, its pilot year.
And to start my list, I’ll first make my overall criteria for pointing out who’s in on my top ten. Since Hiraya is a personal blog which caters anything and everything under the sun, well I guess, it’s quite obvious that I’ll be choosing the blogs that becomes influential and will be influential to other personal bloggers out there. Again, my list is based on my own criteria drafted from the original criteria of the Emerging Influential Bloggers site.
First in line is Good Times Manila. Needless to say, it’s absolutely the most intelligent comic blog in my list.
Second, the travel blog Let’s Go Sago! It’s refreshing to read articles from this blog specially that it’s resident mascot – Sago – is traveling along with the posts. You can see this cute creature always present in this blog’s travel escapade.
Third on my list is the personal blog of this man who silently writes emotionally captivating lines rooted from his own personal experiences and dreams. On The Coffin Rock is certainly one of the best personal blogs out there.
I’m still looking for the remaining seven blogs that suits my taste (mine is different from yours, surely). I’ll be updating this list once I found the blogs that will fill in the remaining spots on my list.

Two blogs are now part of my Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2009. And they are:
The Accidental Teacher is a personal blog of a teacher, a mom, a psychologist, a woman. I found her post so true and personal.
Ada as we commonly call her, the name behind the ever-popular blog Adaphobic, is a registered nurse (RN) spending her spare time online and attending ‘essential’ blog events. Her blog Adaphobic caters to essential information that not only interest her but also to her readers.
UPDATE (As of June 11, 2009):
Another blog was able to complete the first six of my Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs for 2009 and here he is:
With all of the blogs that I follow, only a few of them that I was also subscribed with their RSS. One of them is Boy Kuripot. His blog is so updated with contests and promos. You’ll surely never miss one if you’re subscribed with his blog.

Thanks for dropping by! If you’re planning to start a new blog, I would suggest for you to utilize first the free platforms like WordPress and Blogger (blogspot) so that you can familiarize yourself with the environment.
Great blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m totally overwhelmed .. Any suggestions? Cheers!
